Designer, Marida Adan grew up stringing pearls and sorting diamonds with her mom. Both her parents have been in the fine jewelry business for over 3 decades. You can say that jewelry is in her blood. However, her love for gems and jewelry was established when she first laid her eyes on a string of turquoise boulders at a bead convention. She went home and strung the necklace herself using techniques she learned from her mom. At that moment, she knew it was more than just something she does on the weekend with her parents. Fast forward a few years, she obtained her Graduate Gemological certificate from the Gemological Institute of America. In late 2009, Marida branched away from her family business to create her own collection at affordable prices without losing the precious, personalized sentiment. Marida is a blend of femininity and contemporary, timeless and trendy, and sweet and edgy that can easily become an outfit’s staple.
